East Riding of Yorkshire - Flood Review Panel Report
I attended several of the meetings and felt that the residents views were put and the chair extracted as much as possible answers from his expert witnesses.  I was concerned, and wrote about it in my monthly update, that the major agencies were using very urban based priorities and that in the new mainstreaming world the rural resident would be quite low down the chain. As a resident of East Riding I am pleased to say on receiving this report the Council allocated  £500,000 for smaller community infrastructure updates.  This illustrates very clearly how rural matters need consideration at sub regional /LA levels in the new governance structures and the good practice of EYCC should be used within the region. This excellent document can be found on the East Riding website
